We are a mom-founded group, walking our way around Grimes County. We believe in getting outside, being active with your kids, and making new mom-friends. We are open to moms with children of all ages and strollers are always welcome.
Whether you’re looking for an opportunity to meet other local moms, get some exercise, or just get a little fresh air, come join us on one of our walks!
Meet Our Founder
Hey there! I'm Ashley Ver Schuur, the Founder of Grimes County Mom Walks. I'm a native of Grimes County, and graduated from Navasota High School before attending Texas A&M and South Texas College of Law. I've been an attorney for 6 years and own a law practice with my dad in Navasota.

I married my husband, Erik, in 2020 and we welcomed our first child, Noah, on New Years Day in 2022. Like many moms, I felt the strain that motherhood placed on my social life and physical health. One day, I decided that the moms of Grimes County could benefit from a group such as this, and GCMW was born!
